EXTENDING SCREEDS
HR 500 E Extending Screed
The HR500E electrically heated, rear-mounted extension screed has a unique box frame design with multiple horizontally positioned guide tubes. This provides maximum rigidity and strength to ensure zero flexing, even at the widest paving width. The exclusive pre-strike off positioned in front of the extension screed provides a consistent rolling head of material required for uniform mat texture, density, and smoothness. The rigid sloping base design allows each end of the extension screed base to slope independently for maximum alignment with the main screed, resulting in a more consistent and smoother mat.
AB 500-2 Extending Screed
The AB 500-2 Extending Screed combines with all VÖGELE tractor units featuring a basic width of 2.5m. Thanks to its unique single-tube telescoping system for infinite variation of pave width, it is ideal for a wide field of applications.
The screed extends hydraulically from 2.55m to 5m and builds up with bolt-on extensions to a maximum width of 8.5m. Addition of cut-off shoes allows to reduce pave width to a minimum of 2m.
The AB 500-2 is available with tamper and vibrators as well as in two versions for high compaction (with tamper and 1 or 2 pressure bars).
AB 600-2 Extending Screed
The AB 600-2 Extending Screed has a basic width of 3m. Equipped with the VÖGELE single-tube telescoping system, its pave width is infinitely variable up to 6m. By addition of bolt-on extension, the screed builds up for joint-free paving to a maximum of 9.5m. This makes AB 600-2 ideally suited for combination with VÖGELE pavers in the upper mid range and also with SUPER 2500. For minor jobs, cut-off shoes are available allowing to reduce the pave width to a minimum of 2.45m.
AB 600-2 is offered in three different versions for compaction. It comes in TV version (with tamper and vibrators) or in TP1 or TP2 versions for high compaction (with 1 or 2 pressure bars).
FIXED-WIDTH SCREEDS
SB 250
The SB 250 Fixed-Width Screed combines with a variety of VÖGELE tractor units. This screed allows tractor units with a basic width of 2.5m to make use of the advantages offered by VÖGELE Fixed-Width Screed Technology – high compacting performance at large pave widths. SB 250 has a basic width of 2.5m and builds up with both fixed and hydraulic bolt-on extensions to a maximum width of 13m.
SB 300
The SB 300 Fixed-Width Screed for SUPER 2500 covers a wide range of applications from a basic width of 3m up to a maximum width of 16m. SB 300 is thus perfectly suited to joint-free pavement construction for any kind of road through to motorway. In other words, it is ideal for large-scale contracts. SB 300 builds up with both fixed and hydraulic bolt-on extensions.
