HUTCHIINS NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF VÖGELE AMERICA, INC. August 2006 -- Stu Murray, president and CEO of Wirtgen America, Inc., has announced the appointment of Brodie W. Hutchins as general manager of its Vögele America Inc. subsidiary. Chambersburg, Pa.-based Vögele America manufactures a line of five pavers designed for the North American market, but incorporating the technical expertise of Wirtgen Group member Jos. Vögele AG, the world’s most experienced maker of asphalt pavers. The result is unsurpassed mat density and smoothness for Vögele America’s road building customers. Hutchins joined Vögele America Inc. as marketing manager in April 2006, and was named general manager in July. Hutchins brings strong experience in marketing of both domestically and internationally sourced asphalt pavers. Since 1992 he has worked in marketing positions of increasing responsibility at Ingersoll-Rand Company, Shippensburg, Pa. Most recently he was marketing manager, Highway Class Paving Products, with global responsibility of those highway class paving products at I-R. Prior to that he was marketing manager, international, for the same company, responsible for marketing I-R road development products in Latin America, and sales and marketing of ABG products in the Americas Early on he served as a technical writer for I-R compaction, paving and material handling products, and he has hands-on experience as a machinist.
